Daffodils, Part Two

The other day I was saying I don't miss Ohio because of its winter weather. As if I needed further convincing, there's a blizzard blowing through my home state. Here's what the paper I grew up reading has to say -- just click here.

Amy I almost went back to COLUMBUS because of a FUNERAL but an OMEN stopped me and thank God ; I have to travel through Chillocothe, Ohio to get there ; My Mother said " the Columbus airport got 22 inches of snow; When I leave here Im going further South so that stuff cant get me; You Southerners dont know whats its like to get snow sprinkles, that feel like glass splinters or sand , in your face while you walk; As you get older your skin gets thinner and you feel the heat and the cold; Id rather roast then freeze to death.

It was 1978 , Amy was to young to remember this but in 1978 the day before the GREAT BLIZZARD it was 68 degrees and the next day the GREAT BLIZZARD of 1978 halted roads ,Schools and work for a week; We were all trapped in our apartments and People were running around in their Pajamas , bathrobes. The snow was so deep and I was in the basement with a window view of the dirt; The snow was covering the whole picture window and very little sun could shine through; This was a real doozy;

Columbus is a nice place except for the winters; Mayor McCrory is from Columbus AMY I was shocked when I found out ; His Dad was the Republican party Chairman in Worthington and helped Governor RHODES get in; Representative Sue Myrick is also from Tifin , Ohio. Small world as I run into People from Ohio all the time and talk about old times back there and eating places.

come on AMY you know Ohio is more organized than this but yes it is warmer; And where did Liegh Dyer really grow up , not Charlotte, 'but close to here' where is close to here? Raleigh, Chester, York County? Look I dont criticize where People are from and just because they are from here doesnt mean they are the standing body of decision; Like myself growing up in Ohio for 42 years doesnt mean I know every aspect of Ohio and I dont.

My Grandmothers, Mother was the Chiefs daughter of the Cherokee reservation and this was all their land ; I dont hold claim to this land and dont discourage People from coming here; This is anyones land who buys it and holds the deed. Why shouldnt I be the Mayor from my ancestors land?
