More on Moms Groups

In my story yesterday about moms clubs, I asked area women to e-mail me about the groups they belong to. I promised to put them on my blog.

Deborah Fillman Boone told me about http://www.backporchchatter.com/, which she runs from home on a "shoestring budget."

She wrote: "We plan monthly offline gatherings called OMNOs (Outspoken Mothers' Night Out) and OMNIs (Ouspoken Mothers' Night IN). In the former case, we meet at a local restaurant -- varying location to be as inclusive as possible -- and in the latter we meet at a member's home and share pot-luck. Sometimes we have a topic for discussion, sometimes we just meet and socialize, but it is ALWAYS a great time!"

Tina Hastings and Stephanie Williams recommeded http://www.amomsspace.com/. It welcomes moms in and around Charlotte and features moms nights out and play dates. No fees.

Want to add your group? Post it here.

Go get em AMY You know charlotte is a sexsist society here; Many groups want to take women back to the stone ages; Women will stay at home and bake cookies and rear the Children like the OLD SOUTH used to; Problem is with houses towering at $300,000 most mommies have to work and some two jobs; Go JOAN of ARC and sound off what you really want out of life ; Be careful though some People will share your thoughts with other People and WHAMO your ostrasized from the group.

Your right I a the same person but I have to go now my destiny is calling; Have you noticed most of Lieghs followers have gone now proving something to me; The Charlotte Observer has puppets that are employed by theObserver to get on the blogs and comment ; Much like AOL and Yahoo ect....
People are paid by service internets to get on chat rooms and bark thats how it works and most have many puppet names.

Who says the HOMELESS shouldn't be allowed to use the computers at the library?

Why are you here in charlotte complaining. Complaining doesn't solve anything. Move back to Ohio if you hate charlotte so much.PLAIN and SIMPLE. I mean why stay. You keep talking about the homeless. Why don't you do something about the homeless instead of complaining about it on the blogs. And no the observer do not pay me,I am tired of you whining about charlotte and not doing anything about it.

Because the HOMELESS will rise up and overtake the Observer. Look for it in the Society pages. OHIO is also going to move down to CHARLOTTE and bring MAC machines.

It's all being done through the MOMS groups.

While the homeless is overtaking the Observer they should also look for jobs.

I'm a member of SWPiedmontMommies.com - a group of moms in Gaston, Cleveland and Lincoln Counties. SWPiedmontMommies is part of The Mommies Network, which has groups across the Charlotte Metro area. We have numerous activities each month and are a very active group!
