Daffodils!

Here's a sign that I've lived in Charlotte for more than a couple years: My daffodils bloomed in February and I didn't think that was freakishly early, because it isn't here.

Over the weekend, I was telling my sister Cristy in Ohio how good they looked and she said hers won't come up until end of March. This is also a reminder of why I'm glad to not be in Ohio. It's still pretty darn cold there.

Amy Im going back to Columbus this weekend d you want me to bring you back a TOMMYs PIZZA from lane avenue , Skyline Chili or Graeters ice cream; How about rotolos pizza or pizza house. Well I am bracingmyself for the FREEZER treatment there. Where you lived they have WRIGHAT PATTERSON AFB with the Project Blue Book building with all the UFO info stored there. An Air Force man told me about the Roswell incident and how they are there in a basement vault, Im sure they are dead.

Funny about Beaver Creek its an unsuspecting town in the middle of a Corn Patch in Ohio; But strange things are all around you and you wouldnt even suspect it; Its a nice town but many of the People who live there may be from somewhere else , if you know what I mean and well connected.

I used to think People were nuts when they talked about seeing UFOs until I saw five of them all flying in sequence; And one by one they shut down their port lights as they were floatinmg along and suddenly the last one turned an irradesent blue and flew so fast your eyes couldnt keep up. I was in shock for a long time.

I read an article you did in the paper over the weekend about living in Charlotte. I think it's great you have a blog to post on as well!
I have lived here almost my entire life and I LOVE how the daffodils come up in February. Although sometimes they come up too early and a late freeze will get them! The reason I like them coming up early is because it makes me feel like spring is already in progress...despite it's still winter. :)

Will someone please get rid of the GUY WHO WRITES IN ALL CAPS erratically and can't seem to put all his thoughts into one post? This guy drives me CRAZY!!!! Please stay in Columbus or take some writing lessons!

Yeah, screw Ohio! The weather is OK here, but nothing beats Southern California weather! Sorry folks! If only the beach wasn't so far away from here!!!!

Amy, you forgot to add that we might as well store all our heavy wool sweaters after next week. It's almost never cold enough to wear them after St. Patrick's Day here.

I have a question that sort of pertains to the weather: how come they don't plant more palmetto trees (palm trees) here? I notice that in Columbia, SC they plant them a lot. We are only an hour from Columbia. I would love to see more palmetto palms planted around Charlotte!

No. Palmetto trees are a baja carolina thing-not a North Carolina thing.

What the hell is baja carolina?
